How to review a stored recording

During the startup procedure, a dialog box, Tap to access service functions, will be displayed in the bottom right corner. Tap this box to enter the Service Functions dialog box.

Tap the Load Old button, to list available recordings. The stored recordings will be listed on the screen, in chronological order.

Two sources of stored recordings are available:

  • Internal storage (recordings stored temporarily on STAN S31 internal disk)
  • USB storage (recordings stored on a USB storage device, available if such a device is connected to STAN S31)

Tap the desired button to access recordings stored on the respective source (Internal Storage, USB Storage and Backup Storage respectively).

Use the arrows on the right side of the window or tap the recording ID in the list to select individual recordings. The following options are then possible:

  • Review Recording

Tap the Review Recording button to load the selected recording onto STAN S31. The recording may be then analysed in Review mode and printed on a network printer (if network printer is configured).

It is possible to review recordings stored on Internal Storage or USB Storage (if a USB device containing STAN S31 recordings is connected to STAN S31).

The Review Recording button is greyed out if there are na STAN S31 recordings on the selected source. If you are sure that the selected source contains STAN S31 recordings and still the Review Recording button is greyed out, contact an authorised technician.

  • Cancel

In the Load Old dialog box, tap the Cancel button to return to the Service Functions dialog box.

How to calibrate the touchscreen

The touch screen may need calibration for optimal precision of touch screen control. The touch screen calibration should be checked during yearly maintenance or if any problems with precision are encountered. Calibration of touch screen is entered by pressing the area "Tap to calibrate touch screen" during start-up.

During calibration the operator is asked to point four circles. It is recommended to use a pointed object (a touch pen) for best results. If the calibration fails due to poor precision, the procedure must be repeated.

How to change the system time

During the startup procedure, a dialog box, Tap to access service functions, will be displayed in the bottom right corner. Tap this box to enter the Service Functions dialog box.

Tap the Set Time button in Service Functions dialog box to open the Time and Date dialog box in which the time and date may be adjusted. Select the data requiring modification by tapping the specific parameter button. Step up the selected time unit by pressing the Increase button and step it down by pressing the Decrease button.

For example, if Hour is selected, one tap on the Increase button will add one hour and one tap on the Decrease button will subtract one hour.

Note that the STAN S31 does not adjust the system clock automatically for daylight savings time changes. To adapt to daylight savings time changes, the correct time must be set manually by using this dialogue.

How to upgrade the system software

Software upgrades are distributed as a single package file. Upgrade packages can be distributed on USB storage devices, CD-ROM, downloadable via the internet, or other means.

As the upgrade can only be performed by using a USB storage device, the package file must first be copied to a USB storage device, if not already available. After power-on of the STAN S31 the software upgrade dialogue is selected through the Maintenance Functions dialogue available from the System Settings dialogue.

The USB device is plugged into one of the two USB slots, whereafter all software upgrade packages available on the USB device are automatically listed. The applicable software uprade package is selected from the list, and the "Update Software" button in the GUI is pressed. After confirmation of that the upgrade shall be performed, the actual upgrade is performed after the system has verified that the upgrade package is valid. The system must then be restarted for the changes to take effect.

A more detailed instruction for how this procces is performed, together with a software upgrade from that user will be encouraged to send by fax or mail to Neoventa, will be distributed with each new software package.
