Patient case #1 – Stan as my safety buddy (gradually evolving hypoxia)

In this patient case we will observe  a gradually evolving hypoxia and reduced variability at a high baseline.

Patient background

  • 37 years of age, BMI 22
  • G2p1 – vaginal birth 2005
  • Uncomplicated pregnancy
  • 36 week scan – cephalic, high placenta, EFW 36th centile, normal amniotic fluid and normal Dopplers
  • 38 weeks gestation
  • 17h00 – spontaneous rupture of membranes and small antepartum haemorrhage (APH) 50 ml
